Description
The movement takes over the canvas. Blue silhouettes intertwine in a fluid gesture. The brush traces rapid curves. The material stretches and blends. The ocher background brings contrasting warmth.
The artist explores here the lightness of the body. Blue dominates the composition. It varies from cobalt to sky blue. Touches of yellow come to highlight the contours.
The technique favors instinct. The forms remain suggested. They do not seek anatomical precision. Attention is paid to the rhythm.
This painting of 2026 captures the essence of a moment. It translates a sensation of freedom. The layers of paint overlap naturally. The visual rendering oscillates between abstraction and figuration. The whole composes an aerial scene. The balance rests on the alternation of cool and warm tones.
Presentation
François Sauvage is a self-taught artist whose particularity is the modeling of leather. After spending fourteen years in art workshops in Paris, he developed a unique technique that allowed him to shape life-size leather figures. Exhibited and sold all over the world, this particular mastery earned him to collaborate in the renovation of prestigious places where his decoration proposals combined aesthetics and refinement.
Since 2021 he has devoted himself entirely to his passions: clay and painting.
His large-format paintings impose and reveal a palette of colors that are sometimes soothing, playful with a pure lightness, at the same time powerful, deep and sensitive.
