Description
This captivating artwork presents a minimalist and poetic scene. Four white clay figures rest on a piece of stone, each in a contemplative and serene pose. The contrast between the softness of the white forms and the texture of the stone creates a striking visual balance. A slender metal wire rises above the central figure, terminating in a delicate heart. This symbolic motif adds a subtle emotional dimension to the work. The simplicity of the materials is enhanced by the precision of the execution, each element carefully considered to evoke themes of connection and inner peace. The overall harmony invites reflection on the balance between nature and humanity. This unique piece manages to capture and express profound emotion through a refined and elegant visual language.
Presentation
I love working with volume and bringing to life characters or animals that spring from my imagination.
To do this, I use a variety of techniques, switching between them as the mood takes me: modelling with clay, metal, repurposed objects, wood, stone, paper or glass.
I also sometimes combine these materials.
My aim is, above all, to keep my interest fresh: I'm always on the lookout for a new approach, a new technique, and I keep a fresh eye on the world around me. My world blends poetry and gentleness with a touch of humour.
