Biography
Caroline Numina Pananka is one of six sisters and three brothers and was born in 1976. She attended primary school at Stirling Station, a cattle station on the outskirts of Tennant Creek and then high school at Kormilda College in Darwin. She is married with six children.
She started painting professionally on canvas in 2000 after being taught by her Aunties Gloria and Kathleen Petyerre, well known Aboriginal artists. She is also related to the famous painter Margaret Scobie.
Caroline is now based in Darwin along with her sisters – also emerging artists. Caroline travels back to her homelands regularly. Caroline’s work is bought and sold around the world by institutions, galleries and art lovers.
