Born in 1979 in Nanbu, in the Sichuan province (China), Zhang Lin lives and works in Beijing.
He is a graduate of the Institute of Arts of Chongqing.
His works address the theme of Chinese women and their femininity; he paints delicate portraits and covers them in traces of paint afterwards, as if he wanted to express the fragility of life and the loneliness and the impermanence of time passing.
His paintings leave us with a feeling of deep sweetness.
