Josef Lunacek is a Czech painter, born in 1965.
His style is a lot like the work of the American artist,Jackson Pollock.
His painting has put down roots in the abstract expressionist movement. Colors play an important role in the artist's work, he uses large formats of canvas, so that he can express himself completely. He even overlays six layers of color, and they remain still as brilliant. Without any doubt, he improved this technique when he participated in the restoring of the Vlastivdné Museum in Olomouc. Josef Lunacek has a very unique style, which makes his paintings recognizable, even when they're not signed.
Josef Lunacek is a member of the Visual Artists of Olomouc union. He participated in several exhibitions in Prague, Olomouc and Bratislava. Several of his works decorate walls of public buildings, companies, hotels, offices and private collections.
