Lise Gonthier is a French sculptor born in 1981. She studied at the School of Fine Arts of Besançon and then discovered glass in a crystallerie, a discovery that led her to train in this field at the CERFAV, European Center for Research and Training in Glass Works. After several internships in France and abroad, she opened her own workshop in the South of France.
The artist's glass creations combine drawing, glass blowing and fusing (cold glass bonding). Each piece is thus the fruit of meticulous steps, and is exhibited as a sculpture.
In 2011, Lise Gonthier's workshop won the "Coup de Cœur" Award and in 2013 the first prize of the Regional Contest (Languedoc- Roussillon)of the Art Ateliers of France.
