MURZO, serial painter.

My artistic work is organized in series.

Pop Art, comics and street art particularly inspire me. The first with their bright colors and their very clear lines and the last for its stencil technique with its imperfections among others. My preference is Miss.Tic with her poems and stencils.

The portraits are part of “My little Pantheon". I chose inspiring personalities of whom I signed detailed portraits. I don't just sketch their features but I retrace major periods of their lives. These are, in a way, “augmented" portraits. Portraiture is a hackneyed genre that I wanted to treat in my own way.

The works entitled “Nostalgia 1, 2 and 3" were painted during the COVID 19 epidemic. A “therapeutic" series which allowed me to get through this dark and distressing period by reuniting with the heroes of my childhood.
