Biography
Christian Rose is an independent photographer specialized in music (Rock, Pop, Jazz, World etc).
He began his carrer when he was nineteen by publishing pictures of musicians on stage in a jazz magazine. Since then, he became a regular contributor. He has illustrated as well numerous records and published his work during forty five years in the international press. Several magazines have published photographs taken by him: generalist French magazines such as: Le monde, Liberation, L'express, Le Nouvel Observateur etc, as well as specialized musical press (Guitar mag, Keybords mag, Batteur mag, MuZiQ).
Among his many collaborations, the one with musician and writer Mike Zwerin in the International Herald Tribune lasted more than twenty years.
Christian Rose has published five original books: "Moments of Jazz", "Jazz Meetings", "Zappa in France", "Black & Soul, and Guitar", "160 Legends of Portraits".
