Biography
Koey is originally from Annecy in Haute-Savoie, but has now lived and worked in Lyon for 7 years. A former graphic designer, he discovered graffiti at the age of 14 and quickly specialized in “Wild style” and letters. His inspiration is mainly drawn from urban culture (Hip-Hop) as well as the work of current artists. Koey likes to work with colors to attract attention: “It has to be flashy! ". On top of that, what he likes is taking basic typography and turning it into graffiti. He also tells us that he sometimes uses three to four different types for each of his letters. Through his works, Koey creates worlds a little futuristic, and goes through all styles to vary his work, constantly looking for new ways to deepen it. His work is a real passion for him where the walls are real playgrounds.
