Anne de Larminat

Anne de Larminat was born in Brittany in 1962 and was immersed in an artistic universe from early childhood, in particular thanks to her grandmother who was a painter and boarder at the Villa Medici.
She studied modern literature at the Sorbonne and became a professor. It was in the early 2000s that she met Isabelle de Ganay, an artist from the Rouen school, who advised her on outdoor oil painting. She will then follow courses at the Ateliers du Carrousel, branch of Decorative Arts, where she will study nude and portraiture. In 2005, she exhibited at the Plessis Robinson and set up her workshop in the heart of the garden city. Since 2013, she has devoted herself solely to painting and is registered with the Maison des Artistes, which has recognized her as an artist by profession.

She uses different techniques that she sometimes combines. The artist thus practices oil painting but also charcoal, ink, acrylic ...

She seeks to transmit, it is moreover a vocation that she has followed since her beginnings that she devoted to teaching.

“What annoyed me the most when I resigned from my teaching profession, was to have the feeling of abandoning the young people who were entrusted to me each year," she explains. My greatest happiness as a teacher was indeed to transmit, and I think I succeeded. This is what I want to do with painting, ultimately on a larger scale. ".

His works have varied themes ranging from portraiture to landscapes or even composition work. She makes many combinations with few colors.

She has exhibited at the Salon d'Automne Champs Elysées and at the NY Atlantic Gallery Life is beautiful among others.
