"From contemporary dance, I learned the possibility of the presence of the body, even in the most total apparent stillness. Stopping is movement at zero speed but it is movement all the same. From martial arts, I gradually learned patience and calm in action. Nothing strong and sharp is done in a rush. From trips, especially to South East Asia, I learned the urgently to open the eyes and the heart, on the world and on the others. Breathe in full lungs by soaking up the surrounding air before being inspired by anything. I search, through sculpture , to rediscover the tension of movement, which will suggest the life that is contained there. The states that could nestle there. I try to explore the balances and dynamics, in the characters or the volumes, whatever my sources of inspiration."
