Biography
First, Gil Adamy was artistic director in advertising then became director of communication and design agency. He is currently specialized in brand strategy. He has been painting in parallel for more than 20 years.
To share his questioning on our society evolution, he draws from comics’ heroes, processed in black and white and used in parodic situations. He uses comics’ icons as well to remind the universe of childhood and to summon the collective unconsciousness. Gil Adamy locates himself in the neo pop movement. His painting is an hybrid between comics and their universal icons as well as Pop Art and Street Art.
The artist likes to work with creased canvases and uses acrylic as it dries fast and favors movement and rapidity. He holds a preference for larger sized artworks.
