Biography
Boubouh (whose real name is Yassine Bouriah) was born in a modest family. They moved to Marseilles when he was very young. Living in a difficult neighborhood, his parents decided to enroll him in a school of applied arts.
Boubouh then studied plastic arts in Aix-en-Provence during which painting was his main interest. His work is inspired by the optimism of the neo-pop universe.
Boubouh's works question the culture of popular images that he confronts with the non-Western images. His universe is situated betwenn painting and sculpture.
