"Art splatter". It's instinctively that this artist got baptized like that. And for good reason, his painting techniques are active if not explosive. He gives importance to his funds, his supports sometimes tortured or very structured and strong in substance. 

He paints in successive layers and bursts. He researches and dares to combine materials that are not always compatible for deep, textured effects. His backgrounds are an abstract construction in themselves.

The colors then impose themselves, explode on the canvas, the subject takes shape in a more consensual way. The figurative is combined with the abstract. 

André-Marc Serrano has a predilection for large formats on which he expresses himself completely. He often has a framing on the canvas, surprising and particular which personalizes his style.
