For years, Sabine Meier tried to capture the photographic process reality: How is an image constructed? What is demonstrated in the frame? At first, she works on the self-portrait. In the 7 metamorphoses series, she stages herself with her model in specific settings made of photographs on plastic covers.
After her"Le Havre / New York" residency, she produced Portrait of a man (Rodion Romanovitch Raskolnikov); the series is inspired by the novel Dostoevsky's Crime and Punishment, freely transposed from Saint Petersburg to the United States and then to Le Havre.
