Biography

Jean Chevolleau (1924 - 1996) He studied at the École nationale supérieure des beaux-arts in Paris, became a drawing teacher and then an artist. Close to Camille Renault, known as "Big Boy", he worked in particular with the Puteaux group and met Picabia, Lafresnaye, Léger, Delaunay and Duchamp. His style is inspired by Braque, Cézanne, Matisse and Villon. His latest model was Claudine Texier. His property bought by the town hall of Fontenay-le-Comte became "Maison d'artiste", then resold in 2020 to a Real Estate Company.
