Patrice Delory

Patrice Delory, artist-plastician, born in 1952 and lives in Tours. Childhood in the Bay of the Somme with infinity on the horizon. He moved to Paris to study Fine Arts. Painting imposes itself to him during his studies of architecture at the Beaux-Arts. He passes his Architect Diploma (DPLG) while following the Fine Arts Workshops of the City of Paris (Montparnasse) and starts travelling very quickly.

An abundant collection of sketchbooks keeps track of his many travels. They allow him to immerse himself in the encounters, landscapes and sensations of the cultures he has travelled through. But it is back in the studio that the canvases are revealed, whose distinct energies are in tune with the different themes that question her: the mystery of the face, the infinity of desert landscapes, the enclosed space of arenas.

It's a whole theatre where the solitude of being, the unique personality of each man, shines through. It is the search for a presence that asserts itself in each painting.

Patrice Delory is present in many private collections or foundations.
