Biography
Allan Ryan is a complete artist: Author, Composer, Performer, Director, Project Director for the Collectif Laure et Amon, and a facilitator of writing and theatre workshops.
He has been drawing for several years but it is more recently that he has chosen to develop and present his work as a visual artist.
He chooses the themes :
Ad Nauseam. Obsessively.
Ad Libitum. At will. To infinity.
In the manner of automatic writing, Allan obsessively draws repetitive patterns over and over again and creates worlds on paper, vinyl or boxes. A teeming space takes shape, the motifs act like a trance and connect us to magical worlds inspired by the Iroise Sea (Finis Terrae), the forests of Broceliande (Trees of Life) or the vanities (Memento Mori). Nature, which is very present, sometimes mixes with still lifes to create universes where the soul takes its full place.
