Presentation
Mo Kwok is a Hong Kong-based painter and photographer. She spent her childhood making high heels from duck tape and eventually became one of the youngest artists to ever win a grant from the Hong Kong Arts Development Council to hold a solo show. She studied political science and art with Theaster Gates during her time at University of Chicago, and celebrated director Guy Maddin at Harvard.
Colours in nature are a major source of inspiration for her. Sunsets over the Jordan river, the red hue of the pomegranate, rainbows, sandstorms all serve as starting points of her meditation on the relationship between earth and child.
Mo Kwok exhibits in Hong Kong, Boston and Chicago.
