Biography
Kenny Random was born Adrea Copp in Padova, Italia.
In the 1980s, Kenny started graffiti on his hometown's walls. Walking down the streets and avenues, he leaves a lasting impression on Padova, since his creations are now integrated into its identity. His paintings decorate the walls of the historic centre as well as the industrial area. They are considered an integral part of the city, thus they are protected when buildings are renovated.
Kenny worked with clothing lines in the United Kingdom and the United States in the 1990s. He also gained notoriety while participating in the advertising campaigns of the skate manufacturer Roces. Later, he was podcasted on television - he collaborates with MTV (Music Television) on a video about the skater Daniel Cardone's tour in California, and then makes a short movie in Genoa about the G8 Summit.
In 2011, Russian tycoon Roman Abramovich acquired one of his paintings.
His atypical work is recognizable by his spraying big dark silhouette figures. Thanks to the technique of trompe-l'oeil, he draws our attention to poetic and amusing scenes, with three-dimensional illusions. He animates dull concrete surfaces with bright colours and a childish fantasy.
