Biography
From 1928 to 1948 he was invited to the Venice Biennale, in 1938 Eugenio Montale wrote the presentation of his personal exhibition at the Galleria La Cometa in Rome. From 1940 to 1970, he taught at the Academy of Fine Arts in Florence, of which he was the director for many years. In addition to landscapes, still lifes, portraits and large paintings of figures, often with a mythological theme, he made numerous large decorations for public buildings in Italy.
