Biography
Enrique Mestre-Jaime lives and works in Barcelona. He studied painting at Saint Jordi (University of Barcelona).
Enrique Mestre-Jaime paints mostly with acrylic. His paintings speak of water, the most important condition for life, of abundency or of its absence. This element is always present in his paintings through boats, pirogues or animal heads in the desert, to speak about the beauty of nature and its waters, its rivers and even about fishing, and how men empty the oceans of fish, and one day will fish the last fish.
"Men continue their long journey, in a fragile pirogue, lost on their own ocean..." (Enrique Mestre-Jaime)
