Francisco Alvarez is a Spanish artist born in 1936.
He is part of a historic group of Spanish engravers called "Estampa Popular" with whom he organized and participated in several exhibitions in different European countries in Spain, Germany, Italy, France etc from 1960 until the mid 70s.
Francisco Alvarez's engravings are described as realist and natural, for his choice of subject and for the treatment, his pieces are recognizable at first sight.
Francisco Alvarez' work has had great success and is exposed in several private and group exhibitions as well as in numerous galleries of the world including in the United States. His pieces are exposed in private and public collections in Spain.
