Biography
Emily Weiner is an American artist. She was born in Brooklyn, New York City in 1981 and now works in Nashville, Tennessee. Through a combination of ceramics and oil painting, recognizable motifs and a sound understanding of geometry, Weiner creates artworks which articulate the collective human experience.
Weiner's oeuvre is broadly diverse in its imagery, and the artist makes a bold use of color, forms and symbols to produce multimedia frames to complement her paintings. Her work has been exhibited internationally, most notably at the Shanghai Contemporary Art Fair in 2022 and in her solo exhibition I took my lyre and said at the beginning of 2023 in Norway.
