Biography
Born in Los Angeles in 1987, Lauren Halsey is an American contemporary artist, who specializes primarily in installation art and architectural pieces to interrogate the reality of urban life in American neighborhoods. After graduating from California Institute of the Arts in 2012, she pursued a Master of Fine Arts at Yale University until 2014.
To date, Halsey has been involved in projects at the Fondation Louis Vuitton in Paris, The Studio Museum in Harlem, New York City, and in solo exhibitions at the Museum of Contemporary Art. In 2019, she won the Frieze Artist Award.
