Anthony Clark (Aka) A-One was born in New York in 1964 and died in France in 2001. He started doing graffiti in the streets of New York at the age of 6. His parents wanted him to go to art school but he preferred to learn in the streets from other artists.

In 1982 he is part of the South Bronx Show organized by the Fashion Moda gallery with Crash, Daze 8 and Freedom. In 1984 he takes part in the Venice Biennale, and is the youngest artist there. He has numerous shows between 1982 and 2001.

In 1995 he was selected, with El1O, Futura 2000, JonOne, JayOne, Mode2 and Sharp, to create works for a traveling exhibition on the occasion of the Rolling Stones tour. His last show in France was in 2001 at the galerie du Jour, with Ash, André, Fafi, Gemeqs, Jayone and Futura 2000.
