Biography
Franco-American artist Chantal Dugave lives and works in Paris. Her practice combines several disciplines. Trained as an architect, she also draws, makes videos and interventions in the public space.
Since 2002, Chantal Dugave has been teaching visual arts at the Ecole Nationale d’Architecture de Lyon. She was the artistic director of the Festival de jardins de rues in Lyon (in 2004 and 2006) and of the event Vidéos d’art en vitrine for the Gallery La BF15 (Lyon, 2003). Blurring identities, she creates new and puzzling contexts as well as more intimate artworks open to the world.
Since 2009, she takes part in international events such as the Santiago de Chile Biennial.
