Justine Pedeutour

In August 2021, following a change in my professional and personal life, I decided to return to the southwest, to Pau, near my family and my original home. I needed rest, tranquility and peace, and above all to focus on myself. So I started to express myself through drawing. At first, using pastels, I reproduced bodies and faces. 

I find that the human body allows a freedom of creation, to transmit emotions especially at the level of the glance that I work more intensely, to transmit the emotion of the moment that the face inspires me.  The work with the hand, the contact of the paper calmed me and allowed me to express myself during this difficult period. 

Afterwards, I used acrylics and spray paints, in order to create, with different tools and especially to discover the use of each element and its rendering, on a canvas. I am self-taught, which means that I have never taken a course, I am very much in observation, I go on the networks to soak up the talents of each and then I launch into my creation. 

I look a lot at my environment for inspiration, the different materials and accessories that I could potentially integrate into my work. I appreciate the warm colors that express happiness and fullness, my paintings are the expression of my emotions during their realization. Expression through art is the best therapy and I wish to share this with the rest of the world. I am constantly evolving in my creations and I have no preference for the material used, I let my hands and my imagination express themselves.
