Presentation

Painting is like going on a journey to an unknown world. A little mystery, shapes and color, shadow and light so that the story is invented under the poetic music of the brush.

It was at the Etampes school that Anne Horlaville perfected her oil painting technique. She learned to see and express her feelings. It is the discovery of touch, light and the expression of emotion. She tries to look at a scene, a landscape, a face with the eye of the poet. When she begins a new work, she explores an atmosphere, an emotion, a color. She paints what she sees, what she feels. The masses, the shapes, the values overlap. Irremediably the scaffolding of a story appears, it imposes itself and the painting comes to life!

Anne Horlaville is a painter who first tried various techniques, such as acrylic on object or watercolor.

She subsequently turned to the techniques of the Dutch school, joining Tatiana Stefanova's workshop. His painting is then imbued with precision and respects the academic style specific to this movement. This period allowed him to discover oil painting.

It was alongside the painters of Dourdan and Étampes that she became interested in light and “capturing emotion from life; it is the learning of the expression of immediate feelings and the spontaneity of the gesture. His painting then becomes more instinctive: while remaining realistic, this certainly breathes much more life into it. She is finally blossoming. She focuses on various themes: portraits, nudes, still lifes, landscapes... The subject doesn't matter as long as the emotion is present. She regularly exhibits in the Paris region or in the Center region in art fairs such as the Printemps de Dourdan salon, the Sainte Maure de Touraine salon, or in more personal exhibitions.
