Benedicte Caillat

I started watercolor when I was nine, and haven't stopped painting since. After studying art history and then plastic arts, I moved to London where I worked in different industries, including publishing, and art galleries. I developed my profession as an illustrator, and have been represented for several years by a British agency. Then I decided to devote myself full time to my passion: painting. Abstract art has always fascinated me, and after years of maturing I threw myself into it. I developed a work on paper in watercolor, pastel, pencil and gold leaf, and started the next phase which is to develop this work on canvas in large formats. I want to complete this work, and express what I have matured for years. I hope that you will find something to inspire you in my work!
