Presentation

Gasediel is a French artist yet marked by the cultures of Brazil, where she lived for 8 years, and of the United Kingdom where she remained for 5 years.
His inspiration comes directly from themes linked to wild graffiti, very present in Brazil with the pixação, to the remains of torn illegal posters associated with the natural wear and tear of time.

His attraction for things that have lived, imbalances, breaks make him see a certain form of poetry on the forgotten walls of the city.
In the impermanence of these sets, she captures and directs our gaze on what we see as an offense to order, to good taste, as a visual attack.
She then invites us to recognize and feel the artistic and poetic richness of the signs drawn, glued, painted on the walls, transformed by the inevitable passage of time.

The constancy of Gasediel's work, an uneven support. She seeks, by coating them with a thin layer of concrete, to recreate the roughness and porosity of these damaged surfaces. These asperities trigger the unexpected in his trompe l'oeil painting, without collage.

His works appeal to many collectors in Europe. In 2020 his work was shortlisted for the Ashurst Emerging Artist Prize.
