After studying at the École Normale Supérieure and the Beaux-Arts, Françoise Spiess taught theater at the university while pursuing a work of writing and painting. She writes, mainly on the theater, for Editions Gallimard, and has recently also devoted herself to video. The artist exhibits regularly both in France and abroad, in Germany in particular.
