Lucie Hurel

I was born in Cambrai in Hauts-de-France, July 22, 1980. I come from a large and modest family and I am the youngest of the siblings. I have loved art from a young age, maybe because my father painted oil paintings and I looked at it or maybe also because I loved unearthed in my grandmother's attic the magnificent drawings of aunt Rose-Marie.

At school I like to surpass myself in plastic art and applied art classes, my mother will quickly understand my desire and guide my education in this direction. I did not go to Fine Arts schools even if I would have liked it, I will take other paths before finding my brushes, 15 years later.

In 2017, I took oil painting lessons in a Parisian studio and then resigned myself to the idea that learning on my own would suit me more. I like to paint landscapes, flowers, animals. I like to paint nature, I have a sensitivity for the environment. I like to marvel at simple things, I like calm and sometimes even solitude.

My painting is influenced by my emotions, they are the expression of these. I seek to express in my paintings the relationship between man and nature, nature on the outside and nature on the inside of oneself, to explore the parts of shadow and light, I seek to express the link that exists between man, nature and art. I have no limit, my style goes from realism to the abstract.
