Jumoke Oyetunde is a contemporary figurative artist who was born in Osun State, Nigeria. Growing up as the only artist in her family, Her inspiration and desire for art began at an early age fueled by her childhood friend and notable Artist.

Jumoke's works address themes that concern black women's memories- their friendship, experience, struggles, and sensations that are fading off with time She depicts detailed scenes of figures showing multiple gestures and single figures that are intended as a way of articulating diverse feel of a moment, taking us back to a moment in time and allowing us to reminisce on that past moment. Through the use of an Oil color medium, Jumoke not only tries to appeal to all of the human senses or self-therapy but to encompass the need to have an emotional connection with past memories.

Her works have been held in prestigious private and public collections around the world.
