Manuel Coronado. He is, without a doubt, one of the most important painters in the city of Águilas (Murcia). A multifaceted artist and aquiline of feeling, his work has been a continuous line of sensitivity and commitment to the life that he has lived.

His professional career goes from painting to sculpture, passing through drawing and scenography of works as important as 'Bodas de Sangre' that he premiered at the Teatro Principal in the late seventies.

Currently, he alternates sculpture and painting with a special predilection for the human figure and landscapes where metaphysics is resolved through the concepts of good / evil, love / hate, and peace / war.

At the age of seven, being already an orphan of his father, he went with his mother to the Balearic Islands, and settled in Alaró (Mallorca) where he related to artists who lived there. After a while he is discovered by Pedro Quetglas and Pilar Vitienes, directors of the Ariel gallery, two artists who would mark his life, since they were the first to propose that he hold an exhibition. After several exhibitions, he directs the Latina art gallery where various groups of painters such as Carpani, Manolo Millares or José María Labra are formed.

At this time, the 'Alaró group' formed by Mompó, Perellón and Mariano Villalta was formed, who held an exhibition in Águilas. Stay in Sweden. His artistic concerns are channeled through the Mallorcan painter Mestre Matas and the teaching received at the Palma School of Arts and Crafts, fundamental pillars in his academic training.
