Depuis 2010, Bernhard Lang capture la surface de la Terre dans son projet "Aerial Views". Pour prendre ces magnifiques photos depuis le ciel, il décolle dans de petits avions ou hélicoptères.
Biographie
Bernhard Lang, né en 1970 à Crailsheim, en Allemagne, est un photographe contemporain renommé, basé à Munich depuis 1993. Après une formation de trois ans au studio photo Anker à Munich, spécialisé dans la photographie publicitaire, il travaille comme assistant freelance pour divers photographes internationaux dans les domaines de la mode et de la publicité. Depuis 2000, il exerce en tant que photographe indépendant.
En 2010, Lang initie son projet personnel "Aerial Views", une série de photographies aériennes capturant des motifs et structures sur la surface terrestre. Ces images, prises depuis des hélicoptères ou de petits avions, révèlent des paysages transformés par l'activité humaine, mettant en lumière le contraste entre l'esthétique formelle et l'impact environnemental.
Parmi ses séries notables figurent des vues de stations balnéaires de la côte adriatique, des champs de tulipes aux Pays-Bas et des fermes piscicoles en Grèce. Son travail a été exposé internationalement, notamment lors de l'exposition "Mit Abstand am Schönsten" à Ingolstadt en 2021, où 50 de ses œuvres ont été présentées en grand format dans l'espace public.
Lang a reçu plusieurs distinctions, dont le Sony World Photography Award en 2015 dans la catégorie "Travel" pour sa série sur les stations balnéaires adriatiques. Il a également été récompensé par les ND Awards et le Prix Pictet pour ses séries mettant en évidence les effets de la surpopulation et de l'industrialisation.
