Biographie
Celso Castro est une référence des arts plastiques caribéens colombiens qui dessine, peint, sculpte et photographie des pénis depuis plus de quatre décennies.
Dans ses œuvres, Castro exalte les organes génitaux masculins, mettant en tension les limites imposées par le système sexe/genre qui s'inscrivent dans un ordre patriarcal et phallocentrique incontesté. La plupart des hommes
Ceux qu'il met en scène sont des habitants de la côte colombienne, construisant également des manières alternatives de concevoir l'identité latino-américaine.
En brisant les tabous sur la corporéité et la sexualité masculine, son travail a été censuré à de nombreuses reprises en raison d'accusations publiques d'immoralité et de pornographie.
