Benoît Lupi

France • 1989

In each golden sparkle, Benoît Lupi creates a horizon of optimism where light soothes the soul and invites us on an inner journey.

Biography

Born in 1989 and originally from Gordes, in the heart of the Luberon, Benoit Lupi is a self-taught painter whose work draws its strength from the poetry of Provençal landscapes and the artisanal heritage of his childhood. Working alongside his father, he discovered stonework at a very young age while restoring old buildings, touching the history they contained with his fingertips. This demanding material forged in him the sensitivity of the 'dreamer-builder' he would become.

After several professional and entrepreneurial experiences, his manual work, initially reserved for Sundays, took on a new dimension. His artistic career began at the Hôtel d'Astier in Forcalquier, where he trained with his mentor Michael Knight and rubbed shoulders with renowned artists. Quickly hailed as a 'young talent', he exhibited in Aix-en-Provence, Paris and then internationally.

Benoit Lupi's musical and romantic paintings are carried by the light and magic of gold leaf. His Mon Horizon collection celebrates optimism and freedom, with each golden horizon becoming an imaginary frontier where emotion, gentleness and escape intertwine. His deeply enchanting works instil a discreet joy in those who contemplate them, like a balm applied to the turmoil of the soul.
