Description
This captivating work features a monkey holding a mobile phone, emphasizing the stark contrast between nature and modern technology. The monkey's detailed, intricately drawn fur provides a striking juxtaposition to the device's bright screen. The expressive, almost human eyes suggest thoughtfulness or curiosity about this technological object, evoking questions about the impact of technology on the animal world. The dark background highlights the subject, creating a dramatic effect that immediately captivates the viewer. The meticulous attention to detail, both in the rendering of the monkey's fur and the realistic texture of the skin, underscores the artist's technical expertise. This work engages with its ecological and societal message, shedding light on our complex relationship with nature in the digital age.
Presentation
It was in Saône et Loire that Karim began drawing at the age of 6. Marked by the animated adventures, sketched by Tintin, Asterix or Son Goku, he quickly invented his own comic books. He experimented with multiple techniques, then a high school teacher introduced him to hyperrealism: it was a revelation! Unable to enter art schools, he perfected his ever more precise and detailed black and white portraits, his artistic signature. Since 2015, Karim has been independent, he exhibits in France, receives awards and is now starting to break through abroad.
