Description
This ink drawing captures the mischief and roundness of four felines. The artist uses fluid lines to suggest the density of the fur. The contrast of black and white creates a striking relief. Each animal expresses a distinct personality. The gaze is central. It establishes an immediate dialogue with the viewer.
The approach recalls the animal illustrations of the early last century. The style is inspired by fables and contemporary comics. The line is precise while remaining light. The horizontal composition emphasizes the repetition of forms. A red seal applied in the upper right signs this composition
The exercise favors visual synthesis. The rendering imitates the softness of the fur through shades of gray. Four silhouettes align on a minimalist black thread. The play of expressions brings a narrative dimension to the image. The whole rests on a balance between technical rigor and the spontaneity of the gesture. This 2026 work explores the animal silhouette with great finesse.
