Description
A cool mountain breeze sweeps through a field of wildflowers, filling this expressive watercolor artwork with energy and spontaneity. Shapes of deep blue mountains rise behind a bright yellow-green meadow, while vibrant black ink lines suggest the movement of the flowers, grass, and wind.
Created in watercolor and ink on paper, this original work brings together the beauty of mountains, fields, and flowers in a natural and expansive expression. The artist leaves the experience open to interpretation, inviting each viewer to discover a personal connection with the scene.
Rich washes of teal, turquoise, and blue contrast with bright lemon yellow and pale green. Loose, sketch-like lines give the flowers a lively quality, while scattered circles and graphic marks suggest the unpredictable movement of the air.
The composition combines recognizable landscape elements with semi-abstract drawing, emphasizing sensation rather than precise representation. Its open and playful character captures the freedom of nature and the pleasure of experiencing a landscape through color and movement.
This work will please collectors who appreciate expressive watercolor, imaginative landscapes, and contemporary drawing. Its fresh palette makes it suitable for modern salons, bedrooms, home offices, and creative interiors.
It is also a meaningful gift for someone who loves mountain landscapes, wildflowers, or the feeling of being outdoors in a lively breeze.
Materials: Watercolor and ink on paper.
Shipping / Display: The artwork is shipped rolled in a protective tube and will require framing after delivery.
Presentation
Elena Orlova is a contemporary artist. She graduated from the Art and Graphic Design Department of Novosibirsk State Pedagogical University in 2014. Her solo exhibitions include Healing Through Femininity: A Path to the Self at Art Workshop Krasny and Femininity at the Yunost Art Residence in Novosibirsk. She has also participated in the Siberian Biennale of Design and Contemporary Art and group exhibitions in Novosibirsk, Yekaterinburg, and Ivanovo.
Elena works with watercolor monotype, drawing, and gold, exploring the movement from psychological and informational overload toward clarity and stillness. The unpredictability of monotype becomes a field for the subconscious, while precise graphic elements introduce order into its accidental forms. Her compositions move between dense, labyrinth-like structures and open, quiet spaces. Through this contrast, Elena Orlova examines anxiety, femininity, inner transformation, and the human need to find personal meaning within chaos.
