Description
Vincent Van Gogh non-essential? No kidding ... Art and artists have never been more essential than they are today. Poor Vincent, poor Pablo, poor Amadeus, poor us.
Against a vibrant blue background, Vincent Van Gogh’s face stands out with a magnetic presence. His red eyes, intense and almost hypnotic, add a dreamlike and provocative dimension to the image. The color palette is reduced but impactful: the dominant blue is punctuated only by the burning red of the eyes and the lapel of his jacket. The contrast between these two shades creates a dynamic visual tension that irresistibly draws the viewer’s gaze. Above the portrait, the handwritten inscription "I am non-essential" floats, adding an introspective and ironic reflection on the value of the artist, particularly in times when many have felt marginalized or superfluous. "Vincent Non Essentiel" challenges with its apparent simplicity but reveals a deeper complexity in its questioning of identity and self-perception. This portrait is not just a representation; it is an invitation to explore the notions of essence and personal visibility in an often impersonal modern world.

Presentation
Lord Wilmore, a totally polymorphic artist, was born in Longlier (Belgian Ardennes) but now lives near Versailles. He graduated from the School of Diffusion Arts (IAD). His fictional film work has been presented both at the Oscars for student films (La tartine au ham) and at the Venice Critics' Week (The Seven Deadly Sins). He also made a 52 'documentary on the life of Buddha (Being Buddha - France television). Multi-award winning advertising director (in Cannes, New York, Portoroz),
He was for a long time one of the little princes of the short television program in France (on TF1 for the Nicolas Hulot foundation and for the WWF for example). His upcoming agenda is as heterogeneous as it is flamboyant: a rock album “My name is Lord", a series of documentaries seeking to reconnect humanity with dialogue, as well as several exhibitions of his contemporary digital paintings and now his acrylics digital post on canvas.
Since May 2016, Lord Wilmore has exhibited in Ukraine, Corsica, Paris and Brussels and is now represented in China (Artbank China / Nanjin).
For several years now, his work has been haunted by this unique question: does humanity still have a chance to survive?
Climatic headlong flight, technological headlong rush, identity headlong flight. So many reasons to worry but above all to reflect on a possible global collapse.
