Description
This painting depicts a picturesque landscape of a vibrant oasis, where the striking contrast between the mountains and the lush vegetation creates a remarkable visual harmony. Mountains in golden and ochre hues dominate the background, evoking the warmth and mystery of the surrounding desert. In the foreground, a flat-roofed town is revealed, bordered by a multitude of slender palm trees, reinforcing the idea of a haven of peace amidst the aridity. The buildings, with their traditional architecture, fit perfectly into this painting, testifying to the typical habitat of desert regions. The warm, earthy color palette gives the work a soothing and timeless atmosphere. This painting captures the essence and beauty of the interaction between nature and human habitation, offering a unique and contemplative view of life in a desert environment.
Presentation
Laetitia DEMORTREUX was born in 1976 in Paris.
Graduated from the Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Arts Décoratifs in 2001. The gaze evolves on the fields and architectures treated with breadth, subject to the rhythm of a warm palette in shades of Naples Yellow and Sienna Earth. At first glance, the forms seem to reach the simplicity of abstract art, but quickly the elements emerge and carry the spectator far from his vision on a human scale, in a true Flight. After having exhibited in Parisian Galleries and Salons (Salon ART CAPITAL, Salon de la Marine, SNBA, Salon des Indépendants), Laetitia exhibited in Italy (Milan, Siena). She currently presents her work in Australia via the OFFMARKET Gallery in Perth. Laetitia is a member of the Taylor Foundation.
