Description
Created using live painting!
This captivating work depicts a woman in black and white, her face partially obscured by her hand delicately placed on her forehead. The artist skillfully exploits the contrast between light and shadow to create a mysterious and introspective atmosphere. The facial features, particularly the finely drawn lips, add a touch of refinement. The blurred background, with its subtle shades of blue and purple, introduces a dreamlike dimension, evoking a duality between reality and imagination. The paint drips contribute to a sense of movement, reinforcing the woman's emotional expression. This bold composition questions the perception of identity and emotion, elevating the work to a powerful reflection on introspection and human complexity. Each element enhances this painting to the level of a unique and profoundly intriguing visual exploration.
Presentation
Skio produced his first graffiti in 1993 in the Nice region. Favoring vandal lettering in his early days, then sliding towards a figurative and romantic universe stemming from his pop and television culture, the artist brings his know-how towards a singular art that mixes geometric shapes and realistic representations.
Questioning our presence in the urban space, he is particularly inspired by the Bauhaus and artists such as Chirico, Magritte and even Dali. Skio has created his own universe by exploiting his experience and his mastery of techniques, including spray paint, brush and airbrush.
