Description
This painting presents a captivating fusion of modern artistic techniques, utilizing a predominantly pink color palette. Bold, dynamic brushstrokes traverse the image, creating a sense of movement and vitality. The iconic face of Marilyn Monroe emerges with elegance and softness, lending the work a timeless quality. Projection accents add a tactile dimension, capturing light to bring brilliance and depth. The juxtaposition of classical and contemporary elements underscores the duality between past and present, traditional and innovative. The use of pink monochrome unifies the composition while accentuating the subtle details of the face, making the work both delicate and powerful. This painting is a vibrant tribute to the art and the icon it represents.
Presentation
Arthwhos, whose real name is Jules Garin, is a painter originally from Guadeloupe. Introduced to drawing and painting at a very young age by his mother and uncle, both artists, he quickly developed a keen artistic sensitivity.
A keen observer, he draws inspiration from his daily environment, exploring a wide variety of mediums—from canvas and walls to leather goods, bags, gold jewelry, textiles, and sneakers.
His deep passion for sneakers and his expertise in materials quickly led him to create bold and unique pieces, attracting the attention of renowned personalities such as Booba, Fianso, Gims, and even football superstar Cristiano Ronaldo.
In parallel, Arthwhos pursues a more personal artistic approach, influenced by contemporary art, pop culture, manga, and life itself. These iconic inspirations fuel his creativity, leading him through an introspective process where observation and contemplation shape each of his works.
By constantly pushing boundaries, Arthwhos defies the limits of art and materials, carving out a unique space where his work bridges the gap between the contemporary and the timeless. CREATION ON LEATHER.
