Description
Immerse yourself in a unique piece where urban art meets raw emotion. This original work by Lasveguix is created on an authentic subway tile (20 x 10 cm), enhanced by an elegant frame (30 x 24 cm) that makes it a ready-to-display object.
At the heart of the composition lies a universal symbol: a vibrant red heart, carried by dynamic silhouettes inspired by the iconic world of Keith Haring. The lines are bold, spontaneous, almost instinctive. The figures seem to vibrate, to support, to celebrate – an ode to collective love, solidarity, and human energy.
The textured background, blending bursts of color, traces and overlays, evokes the vibrant walls of major cities. Each detail tells a story, each layer reveals an emotion.
Imagine a fragment of wall torn from an imaginary subway station… a place where passers-by leave behind traces of emotions, stories, and human connections.
This tile is not just a support: it is a witness.
A suspended moment where two anonymous figures unite to carry something greater than themselves – a vibrant heart, a symbol of a universal bond.
This work captures that precise moment when the individual becomes collective, when energy becomes shared. It transforms an everyday object into an artistic manifesto.
Why buy this artwork:
An emerging artist on the contemporary urban scene, Lasveguix develops an instinctive visual language, influenced by street art, pop culture, and the great figures of graffiti. His work is distinguished by the use of atypical supports – in this case, subway tiles – transformed into veritable fragments of urban expression.
Her works capture the moment, raw energy, and a form of accessible yet impactful visual poetry.
Presentation
Guillaume Picart, known as Lasveguix, is a French artist from Seine-Saint-Denis, who began his artistic career as a graffiti artist under the pseudonym of Guix along the Canal de l'Ourcq, when he was teenager. After a break in artistic creation, he returned to his passion in 2022 and is currently working on the production of numerous works in various media, mainly inspired by the influence of pop art.
Lasveguix is directly inspired by Jacques Villeglé and Raymond Hains, and uses photographs of famous faces as well as torn posters to create his paintings. He then covers these supports with graffiti and splashes of paint, which gives life to colorful and powerful works, reminiscent of sections of urban walls torn from the street.
His artistic signature is based on his ability to give relief and volume to his paintings. He cultivates a real taste for the texture and material of torn paper, thus creating an impression of movement, by superimposing successive layers of paper.
