Description
This captivating artwork presents an abstract underwater scene where fish-like forms emerge from the vibrant blue of the ocean. Touches of red, yellow, and white energize the composition, contrasting strikingly with the azure background. The bold use of brushstrokes evokes the fluid and unpredictable movement of aquatic life. The varied shades of blue and gray create a calming backdrop, while splashes of color add a dynamic dimension. The semi-abstract approach stimulates the imagination, inviting the viewer to interpret the forms from their own perspective. This painting stands out for its ability to capture the essence and mystery of the underwater world, while offering a rich and engaging visual experience. A work full of life and energy, it speaks to the viewer as much for its aesthetic appeal as for its emotional depth.
Presentation
For me, painting is a second life; it has allowed me, from the age of 40, to find a new lease of life by devoting myself full-time to this long-buried passion.
For the past 20 years, the highly demanding craft of oil painting has taught me to look, to pause and reflect on things, and simply to see them. I never stray far from reality, which I seek to capture through my emotions, striving to retain only the essential elements, such as a cloudy sky or a horizon line.
The journey is infinitely long, but the work is a source of equally infinite joy.
