Description
The painting depicts the sea at sunset.
The crashing waves wash over the warm sand of the shore.
In the background on the left is a high shoreline. The sky is turning to dusk under the sun's rays. Warm glints fall on the crests of the waves as they roll in one after another. The warm color palette creates a sense of calm, even though the waves are restless in this scene.
