One panel from the diptych Lithic Drift, 50 × 150 cm, acrylic on canvas. The two panels together form one field of 100 × 150 cm; this listing offers a single panel, complete in itself.
People see different things in it. Some read a snow road running to a horizon that never arrives — lines holding their direction through everything moving around them. Others see stone, split open and read from the inside: a mineral section, quartz and mica caught mid-drift. Others see nothing figurative at all. The work holds all of it, and which reading comes first depends on the light in the room and on who is standing in front of it. That is exactly what the filmed conversations around this painting are about — different people, the same canvas, entirely different things seen.
The material is mineral. Layered pours of mineral white, pearl grey and warm ash are threaded with ink veins that fracture into fine capillaries, the way seams travel through rock rather than being drawn on it. Pearl and mica surface at an angle and disappear head-on. In places the surface crusts and granulates; in others it clears and settles. Nothing here was brushed into shape — the drift happened while the material was still moving, and it was stopped rather than finished. Finished with lacquer, not resin: the surface stays dry and tactile, closer to stone than to glass.
The vertical format gives a room height. The panel works above a console or a fireplace, along a hallway, on a stairwell wall, or as a single focal point in a reception area. The palette is deliberately quiet — white, greige, bone, every register of grey. The work does not compete with what is around it. It changes slowly through the day, and it rewards the second and the hundredth look more than the first.
The panels are sold individually and may hang alone or as a pair; hung together, the movement carries across the gap, so the two halves read as one interrupted current.
Exhibited at Art Capital, Grand Palais, Paris, 2026.
Lithic Drift features in Seven Voices — the Turik & Art interview series, in which architects, designers and private collectors respond independently to the same painting. The episodes are on the Turik & Art channel on YouTube.
Turik & Art is a studio based between Paris and Marbella, working in acrylic, epoxy resin and lacquer on large formats for private residences.

I am a contemporary abstract artist working under the name Kseniia Turik -Turik & Art, based between Paris and Marbella, with a background in luxury interior design. Working with private clients on refined interiors, I kept searching for the one artwork that would complete the space. That search eventually led me to create my own.
I create large-scale works in acrylic, art resin and lacquer, conceived for private residences. Each piece carries emotion, movement and energy, and does not simply exist within a space but transforms it.
I have exhibited at Art Capital, Grand Palais, Paris, in 2025 and 2026; at the Tokyo Metropolitan Art Museum; at the Salon des Indépendants at the China National Convention Center in Beijing and the Shenzhen Convention and Exhibition Center; at the Carrousel du Louvre in Paris; and at the Contemporary Art Fair in Marbella. My works are held in private collections internationally.
Every piece is unique. On request, I also create commissioned works tailored to the colour palette, energy and atmosphere of a specific interior.
I am the author of Seven Voices, a documentary project in which seven people meet a single painting for the first time and answer the same seven questions, independently and without knowing what the others said. All episodes are available on YouTube.
