Description

A dense green-and-gold city-like composition unfolds through intuitive brushwork, glowing accents, and layered architectural forms. White marks suggest lights or windows, while emerald, turquoise, ochre, and yellow-green tones create an atmosphere that feels both urban and imagined.

The work belongs to 365 Days, a year-long project created between 2013 and 2014. During that period, Larissa Mayorova made one small artwork every day, allowing each date to become a visual fragment shaped by memory, imagination, color, and the rhythm of ordinary life. Each canvas stands on its own while remaining part of the larger installation and its structure of passing time.

Here, recognizable city-like elements remain deliberately unstable. Buildings and vertical forms appear, dissolve, and re-form within the painted surface, creating a balance between figuration and abstraction. That openness allows the viewer to approach the work as both an urban image and an emotional record of a particular day.

For collectors drawn to conceptual series, semi-abstract imagery, and saturated contemporary color, the artwork offers an intimate piece of a much larger project. Its compact format and green-gold palette make it suitable for a modern study, living space, office, or gallery wall.

Materials: Oil on canvas.

Shipping / Display: Ready to hang. The artwork is shipped in a protective box.

Colors & Shades

Emerald green, forest green, moss green, chartreuse, lime green, yellow-green, turquoise, teal, deep blue-green, ochre, mustard yellow, golden yellow, olive, dark brown, charcoal, black, ivory white, bright white, burgundy red, rust red.

This artwork is suited to collectors who appreciate semi-abstract city imagery, intuitive mark-making, conceptual series, and works connected to time, memory, and daily experience. It may especially appeal to buyers who enjoy art that sits between recognizable imagery and abstraction, allowing the viewer to keep discovering new forms rather than receiving one fixed narrative.

Mars 9/2014 would work well in a living room, study, hallway, home office, creative workspace, or contemporary gallery wall. Its saturated greens, golds, and turquoise tones pair especially well with neutral walls, dark wood, black accents, brass, warm gray, or minimalist interiors that benefit from a concentrated burst of color.

Presentation

Larissa Mayorova (larissaart) is a contemporary professional artist based in France, living and working on the shores of Lake Geneva.

Originally from Russia, where she studied painting, fine arts and theatrical decorative art, she moved to France in 2003 and continued developing her artistic practice through painting, exhibitions and independent artistic projects.

Her works are regularly presented in solo and group exhibitions in France and across Europe. Throughout her career, she has participated in numerous contemporary art salons, cultural events and international exhibitions, including Art en Capital in Paris, as well as exhibitions in Cannes and other European cities.

Larissa Mayorova is also a laureate of the Fondation Taylor in Paris and has received recognition from the Société des Artistes Français.
Known for her atmospheric paintings exploring mist, reflections, textured surfaces and poetic symbolism, Larissa Mayorova creates dreamlike visual worlds suspended between memory, perception and imagination.
Inspired by the landscapes surrounding Lake Geneva, Venice, water, birch forests, mist and changing light, her work combines experimentation with materials and textures alongside emotional and symbolic imagery. Her paintings often explore the fragility of perception and the shifting boundary between reality and memory. Her Maine Coon cats, which are part of her everyday life, also appear as recurring poetic presences within her artistic universe.
